I’m wondering if you’ve seen this yet:

    http://healthland.time.com/2011/08/22/researchers-discover-underlying-cause-of-lou-gehrigs-disease/

I apologize for leaving this link here. I am hoping you can find some time to look into this research and include information on the protein ubiquilin 2 on GreenMedInfo.com. (I LOVE this website!) My younger sister lived with ALS for 17 years, passed away nine years ago when it finally overtook her breathing. We used nutritional support and massage to keep her neurons as healthy as we could, with little info but a lot of intuition.

It’s an absolutely awful disease. I became a massage therapist because of her because I could see how much massage helped her comfort level. I recently learned that there is ten times more enervation in connective tissue than muscle, so every time we did myofascial releases and stretches to keep her ligaments flexible, we were sending a ton of info back up to her brain. The nursing home staff used to remark that both my sister and I would glow after these sessions. Biophotons!

I recently used this approach to help my 29 year old daughter’s ongoing recovery from a massive stroke, which took her down three days after finishing the NYC Marathon last fall. But that’s another story, with a happier ending–she returns to work 9/7, way ahead of her docs original estimates.

The article says there may be application for enhancing ubiquilin 2 for dementia and Alzheimer’s as well. Pesticides appear to be implicated. Patients and loved ones could really use info to help mitigate damage.

Thank you SO MUCH for what you are doing. I have referred many many loved ones and clients to your site. There are some neurologists and physical rehab docs I want to direct there as well.

    With much gratitude,
    Jan Kent
